This checklist is designed to help international students prepare for their studies in France and at IÉSEG. From travel documents to settling into your new environment, these essential steps will guide you through a smooth transition and successful start to your academic journey.
Before arrival
- Apply for an accommodation and housing insurance

- Apply for a visa (if you need to)
- Send your medical certificate to our Health Center
- Register for your courses (exchange students only)
- Students with disabilities:

- Pay attention to the dates! (course registration, request for accommodations, arrival on campus, etc.).
Be aware of the different deadlines in order to be well prepared for the start of the school year.
- IÉSEG email address: the unique user ID for all the School’s tools!
You will receive it before the start of the school year, log in before your arrival to make sure that everything works.
If you have any problem, open a ticket with the support service: mysupport.ieseg.fr.
- Check your schedule as soon as it’s available.
Identify the meeting point for your first day on campus.
Upon arrival
- Validate your visa on ANEF website (for non-EU students only)
- Apply for Social Security
- Open a bank account (if you want to apply for CAF)
- Purchase a transport pass
- Buy a French sim-card (if you need to)
- Download the apps useful for your academic year: “IÉSEG Connect”, the School app and “Edusign” that you will use to attest your presence in all classes.
Accounts will need to be created with your IÉSEG user ID.
